You are right - this is all about trust. My family seems to have a great many objects, many of which they are afraid to give away, for fear they might lose the memories the objects hold. But Handmeon creates a new vocabulary for sharing - Why give something away to some anonymous institution when one can offer it to others and stay connected to that object's journey. It is the journey these objects take that fascinates me. We have to trust in others to continue the story, however. That is a bit frightening...December 2nd, 2007 at 09:54 PM
